Palembang, August 29, 2024 – In an effort to achieve the Net Zero Emissions (NZE) 2060 commitment, PLN Enjiniring presented innovations related to energy transition at the 2024 National Seminar (Semnas).
Carrying the strategy of “Building New Internal Capabilities,” PLN Enjiniring shows that achieving energy transition can be done professionally and in accordance with company regulations. The forum was organized by the Palembang Branch of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII), in collaboration with the Center for Training Development and Independent Certification (P3SM), PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja, PT PLN Icon Plus South Sumatra, PT PLN South Sumatra Distribution Unit, Jambi and Bengkulu, the Indonesian Electricity Society (MKI) South Sumatra, and the Electrical Engineering Alumni Association (IATE) Sriwijaya University. In the forum, the President Director of PLN Enjiniring, Chairani Rachmatullah, discussed the Implementation of the Engineering Law in supporting Energy Transition and Independence Towards NZE 2060.
This program continues to be promoted by PLN Enjiniring through cooperation with various universities and PII. Chairani Rachmatullah also said, “The Engineering Law provides a strong foundation for empowering Indonesian engineers to drive innovation and accelerate the clean energy transition. We at PLN Enjiniring are determined to support national energy independence with sustainable solutions and help achieve the NZE 2060 target.” Semnas 2024 also raised important issues related to national strategies in managing renewable energy, optimizing green technology, and creating policies that support the acceleration of energy independence.
In-depth discussions at this forum are expected to produce solid recommendations to support Indonesia’s energy transition efforts.
